This magnificent holiday home with private pool and spacious terrace is located 2 km from the centre of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, one of the most beautiful towns in Provence. The villa is on one level and welcomes its guests in a very quiet neighbourhood. You will be staying at the gates of the Luberon, between Apt and Avignon. Visit the mysterious source of the Sorgue in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (7.5 km) and drive or cycle up Mont Ventoux. Climbing enthusiasts will love the beautiful Dentelles de Montmirail (33 km) and golfers will be in their element at the course in Saumane. The Luberon is known for its enchanting mountain villages, such as Gordes (17 km), Roussillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste and Lourmarin, and visitors are spoilt with fantastic panoramas in the gorges of the Nesque. 28 kilometres away in Avignon, you can visit the former papal palace and take a boat trip on the Rhone. Less than an hour separates you from the Alpilles with its olive groves, breathtaking hiking trails and charming villages such as Les Baux de Provence and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue lies at the foot of the Monts du Vaucluse and is a pleasant place to relax. It is also known as the Venice of Provence because of its many canals. Small bridges and old paddle wheels emphasise the charm of the town. Nature lovers are drawn to the Partage des Eaux, where the river splits in two, embedded in a beautiful landscape. However, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is best known for its many art galleries and antique shops. Particularly at Easter and then again in mid-August, the town is a paradise for collectors and vultures, when hundreds of dealers from all over the world offer their antiques here. The landlord lives in a small part of the house, but has no view of the garden or pool area. He uses his own door at the back of the house, but is usually not there when the house is rented out. Apart from the sleeping gallery, the house is also suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Note: A quiet, discreet cat lives in the grounds.
